Credits are Animus’s unit of AI resource consumption. Every action that uses AI — saving content or chatting with your library — draws from your credit balance.

Saving content

When you save a URL, document, or file, Animus processes it using the latest AI models to extract meaning, classify it, and make it searchable. Each save is charged based on the amount of content to process. Most saves cost between 1 and 1.5 credits. The cost scales with the length and density of the content, not the format — a video doesn’t inherently cost more than an article. That said, longer content like lengthy articles or hour-long videos will use more credits than shorter pieces.
Every save uses at least 1 credit, regardless of content size.

Chat

When you chat with your library, each message exchange — your question plus the AI response — uses credits. A typical message costs 1 to 1.5 credits. Longer conversations may cost slightly more per message, since prior turns are included as context. Complex queries that pull in multiple saved items will also use more credits.
