Save anything
Browser extension (Chrome or Firefox), mobile share sheet, or paste a URL. Articles, YouTube videos, Instagram carousels, TikTok clips, Twitter threads — Animus handles all of them.
Animus doesn't just save what you find — it reads it, transcribes it, and makes it searchable. For bookmarks, videos, carousels, and threads. Everything Pocket never did.
Pocket was good at one thing: remembering that you wanted to read something. It was not good at helping you actually use what you saved.
Your Pocket library was a list of URLs. Maybe you'd skim an article and check it off. But that YouTube video with the great framework? You'd have to re-watch the whole thing. That Instagram carousel with the marketing breakdown? Pocket couldn't even see it.
And then Mozilla shut it all down in July 2025.
If you're looking for a replacement, you have two choices: move to something equally passive, or upgrade to something that actually works.
Animus reads your content. Pocket stored your links.

Not just the text. Animus runs OCR on every slide of a carousel, transcribes video with timestamps, parses threads into structured takeaways. The content behind the link becomes searchable knowledge.
Type a question in plain English: "What was that marketing framework I saved about email subject lines?" Animus searches across everything — articles, video transcripts, image text — and surfaces exactly what you’re thinking of.
Tracking industry trends across social media — now they can actually find that framework they saved three months ago.
Collecting tactical advice from creators and thought leaders — searchable across all formats, not just newsletters.
Following analysts and researchers — every thread, video, and article in one searchable place.
Building a research base — your library becomes source material you can actually pull from.
Already exported your Pocket data? Animus Pro includes bulk import — bring your entire saved library over and make it searchable from day one. Don't start from scratch. Start with everything you've already saved.
Learn how to import →No. Bookmarking apps store pointers to content. Animus stores the content itself — indexed, searchable, and queryable via AI. The difference becomes obvious the first time you find something you saved six months ago without remembering the URL.
Mozilla shut down Pocket in July 2025 and gave users a window to export their data. If you exported your data as a CSV or HTML file, Animus Pro can import it. If you didn’t export, that library is unfortunately gone.
The web app and browser extensions (Chrome and Firefox) are available now. Mobile apps are in development.
Each time you ask Animus a natural language question or trigger deep content analysis, it uses one AI credit. Free users get 10/month. Paid plans range from 100–500.
