# Usage Guide

> How to use the Animus browser extension day-to-day

## Quick search

Click the Animus icon in your toolbar (or press the keyboard shortcut) to open the search panel. Type your query to search across your Animus data without leaving the current page.

## Keyboard shortcut

| Platform        | Shortcut           |
| --------------- | ------------------ |
| macOS           | `Cmd + Shift + K`  |
| Windows / Linux | `Ctrl + Shift + K` |

<Tip>You can customize the keyboard shortcut in your browser's extension settings.</Tip>

## Contextual lookup

Select any text on a webpage and right-click to find related items in Animus from the context menu.

## Save to Animus

Use the extension to save content from any webpage directly to your Animus workspace:

1. Select the content you want to save
2. Right-click and choose **Save to Animus**
3. Choose the destination and confirm
